TitanFall 2system requirments

                    TitanFall 2system requirments

PC System Analysis for Titanfall 2

We expect the system specs on Titanfall 2 to be high. Probably requiring a top end GPU, like a GTX 970 or AMD R9 390 to run Titanfall 2 at 1080p with 60FPS. The processor requirement to run Titanfall at high settings will likely be around an intel i7-4820K or AMDs FX-9370. 16GB system memory will also be the sort of RAM requirement Titanfall 2 needs to run it at recommended. However, we expect a much lower entry computer to be needed for minimum requirements.
Developed by Respawn and published by EA, Titanfall 2 has been given the green light.Expectations are that Titanfall 2 will no longer have any Microsoft involvement and will be available on PC, Xbox One and also Playstation 4.

Peeking Forbidden - Titanfall 2 not in EA Access

Peeking Forbidden - Titanfall 2 not in EA Access

While speaking with GameReactor, Respawn Entertainment has stated that Titanfall 2 won't be part of EA Access or Origin Access

The exclusion of Titanfall 2 from EA Access means that Xbox One and PC players won't be offered a pre-launch trial and will receive no discount when buying the game.

The service usually affords players early access (what an unbelievable surprise) to new games, a library of existing games which can be played for free, and discounts on new titles.

It's not been made clear why Titanfall 2 has been excluded from the deal.

The decision could come down to money alone - but it could also come down to the negative feedback received during the game's online test last month. Players were up in arms about several changes made to the mechanics of the first game, including those to movement speed, wall runs, and the titan charge meter. It's possible that Respawn wants to hold back the game for as long as possible to prevent a repeat incident.

Without access to one of Digital Spy's magical seeing stones, which recently went missing, it's impossible for us to know for sure

Titanfall 2 is set for release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and those things called 'personal computers' on October 28. Here's a little glimpse at some of the massive metal friends on offer.

Why FIFA needs a new story mode, according to the game's developer

E3: Why FIFA needs a new story mode, according to                         the game's developer

One of the brains behind FIFA's new story mode talks to Newsbeat about what the update will offer.

Aaron McHardy has been helping make FIFA games for more than 10 years.
The new story mode unveiled at EA Play on Sunday is one of the biggest additions to the game in years.
He tells Newsbeat: "We wanted to bring something new to the table. It's the biggest mode we've brought to FIFA since Ultimate Team so it's quite a big deal."

The journey will see players take control of the career of Alex Hunter as he works his way up from a youth team player to a global superstar.
It's a cinematic experience where players will have to make professional and personal choices as they control his life on and off the pitch.
But don't FIFA fans buy the game just to play football?
Aaron tells us: "We asked people what they would they like to see in the game and we learned that this is a mode they wanted.
"A lot of people want to play these kinds of single person experiences but it's also a tool we're using to get new players on-board.
"It takes some time to get used to the game and how to be proficient with passing and shooting and all the mechanics you need to learn.

"We're using the journey to teach them in a way you wouldn't even notice because you're following the story."
FIFA isn't the first sports franchise to introduce a story mode like this.
NBA 2K did something similar last year which was directed by Hollywood movie maker Spike Lee.
Aaron tells us it's important for FIFA to appeal to an audience of hardcore fans and more casual players.
"So many people play our game that you have to accommodate everybody and it's a challenge."

However, the new mode isn't the biggest change players will see this year, according to Aaron.
He says: "It's easy for people to gravitate towards the brand new things we've never done before in FIFA but the gameplay changes we've made are massive.
"We've made a whole load of changes and the game is already playing infinitely better than last year already."
Among the changes are new artificial intelligence, different attacking controls and more physical gameplay.

Many industry experts would say that over the last five years FIFA has developed a reputation as the best football game on the market.
But in the last couple of years the competition with main rival Pro Evolution Soccer has become fierce.
Aaron says: "It's a lot of pressure because you know the world is watching and the world wants to play your game.
"When you look at the guys in the studio everyone is a football fan, and everyone's passionate about video games so nobody puts more pressure on us than we do."

It's been a tricky time for the organisation that the game is named after recently.
So would EA think about changing the title?
"When we make FIFA every year we just get out heads down and make the best game we can.
"Those sorts of decisions are well above my pay grade."
FIFA 17 is released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on 29 September.

Coming mafia 3 stuff

Here's all the stuff coming to Mafia 3 after release

Mafia 3 is getting a load of downloadable content after release, including new car customisation options, a bunch of extra outfits for protagonist Lincoln Clay, and vehicle races. That lot will be free to owners of the game, whether they pre-ordered it, bought it on day one, or waited a bit to see if it's actually any good, and while there is also a pile of pre-order bonus tat on offer, that looks fairly inconsequential compared to these meaty morsels.

You can read the entire rundown of Mafia 3's post-launch DLC plans here, but I'll give you the highlights. In addition to the stuff above, there will also be a few free golden guns, and three paid story expansions covered by the season pass.

Faster, Baby!' features "fast cars, dramatic chases, and stunt driving [as] Lincoln joins forces with his former flame, Roxy Laveau, to take down a corrupt Sheriff terrorizing Civil Rights activists on the outskirts of New Bordeaux". That one really sounds like an episode of Quincy.

Meanwhile, 'Sign of the Times' has you investigating a ritualistic, drug-fuelled cult, and 'Stones Unturned' makes Lincoln "join forces with CIA agent John Donovan to settle a blood feud that began in the war-torn jungles of Vietnam".

Those three paid expansions will also bung in "exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits and races based upon their themes", so expect some Vietnam and hippy paraphernalia to go with them.

Mafia 3 is out October 7.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare VS Battlefield 1

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1 go head to head at E3

Video games don't get much bigger than Call of Duty and Battlefield.

The latest versions of both these monster franchises will go head to head when they are released later this year.
Fans are getting a look at the new versions of each game at E3 in LA - and makers of both games have told Newsbeat they offer something genuinely new.

Battlefield 1 is set in World War One and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare takes place in the far future.
"We knew that we wanted to do something that was a little bit different," explains Battlefield producer Alex Grondal

We felt like we needed to challenge ourselves. At the same time there was this idea that had been floating around the office for many years - to create a game in World War One.

So basically when those two things came together it was a perfect fit."
After a three-year gap the series is back with a game that's being well received by many of those who've played it in LA.
It feels vivid, fun and different to many other first-person shooters available.
Alex Grondal says it's a fresh take on a sometimes predictable genre and what the makers were aiming for.
"The more we started looking at it the more we realised that this was the game we needed to make," he says.
"It enables us to do all these cool things that people haven't experienced before."

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is not playable at E3 but fans are being shown an extended gameplay trailer.
The new scenes have gone some way to convincing gamers that Infinite Warfare is going to deliver, after a lukewarm reception to earlier teases

Art Director Brian Horton told Newsbeat that the team at developer Infinity Ward knew they had ground to make up.
"We want to provide the best experience for our fans. They're an extremely passionate group of people and they'll tell you what they think," he says.

But we believed in our vision and we knew that if we could just show them a bit more of what the actual experience was like that we'd start to turn around that sentiment and make it extremely positive."
Judging by the trailer Newsbeat has seen at E3 - Infinite Warfare will be just as frantic, action packed and epic in scale as the other games in the franchise.

But why set the game in space?

Space is very topical right now," Brian Horton explains.
"You're seeing the privatisation of space and people making a new play that this is an important part of our future.
"You can also see that militarisation of space is something we're going to have to look into - it's going to happen at some point."
The team were keen to keep a "grounded" military feel to the game and grappled with how far to take the game into the realms of fantasy.
"How far do you push into science fiction v science fact? That's where we've had most of our 'interesting' conversations."
Both titles are coming out later this year, so the clock is ticking to decide whether you'd rather fly a biplane or a spaceship.

Peter Moore shoots down hopes for a Mass Effect 3 remaster

Peter Moore shoots down hopes for a Mass Effect 3 remaster

EA's chief competition officer says remaking games is "not what we do."

You will recall a couple of weeks ago that Electronic Arts VP Patrick Soderlund said the publisher is “absolutely actively looking at” remastering the Mass Effect trilogy for current-day platforms. That represented a dramatic change in direction from the previous year, when he told Game Informer that EA's focus is on making new games, not re-releasing old ones.

But now it looks like he may have spoken too soon. EA's chief competition officer Peter Moore didn't deny the possibility outright when he was asked about it in an interview with IGN, but he made his position very clear.
It's just not what we do. We've got incredibly talented devs and studios around the world who are focused on delivering new IPs, new experiences, more and more live services,” he said. “Could we make an easy buck on remastering Mass Effect? Yes. Have a thousand people asked me that? Yes they have. Do we have... No. I mean, we just feel like we want to go forward. There's a little thing called Mass Effect Andromeda that we're totally focused on at BioWare, and it's going to be magnificent. Anything that distracts from that... Do we have teams lying around that are doing nothing right now, that can go and? No, we don't. We want to focus on the future.”

Moore acknowledged that there's a demand for a remake, but said that's true of many of EA's properties. “There is a lot of people who want Skate 4. There's a lot of people that want Fight Night to come back. We're a 34-year-old company that has thousands of pieces of IP around the world," he continued. "Road Rash! And if you allow yourself to take the easy road, to go do something here—and again, not to diss remastering great franchises—but there are so many opportunities for us, and there's an opportunity cost for this, to have people do something else other than what their objectives are to go forward.”

Moore and Soderlund clearly aren't on the same page here, which does us no good in trying to predict whether or not this is actually going to happen. Based on my understanding of corporate structures, Moore is higher up the ladder than Soderlund, but even so I think will eventually do it—that's just too much money to leave on the table, especially given the new Mass Effect audience that Andromeda is bound to drive. Peter will probably pass on the tattoo this time around, though.
