Konami has officially announced the “PES 2017” set to hit the market on 20th September 2016 worldwide. They have released extensive details about the new game from new screenshots to several new features both in the gameplay and user interference. We a in-depth look at PES 2017 and how this year’s title is shaping up.

Konami has confirmed that “PES 2017” title and released first set of details about the game. The game is set to be released on PC, XboxOne and PS4 while the older gen consoles will also get a slightly modified copy of the game. The number of new features/improvement announced in the PES 2017 title are pretty impressive and we take a look at them all below.


New gameplay features:


PES has always been about realistic gameplay and after couple of years chasing the glamour side, Konami are finally settling with what made PES popular in first place and thats a realistic gameplay. They will reveal the new game on this year’s E3 game exhibition with the tagline “Control reality”.




  1. Real Touch: A new player model system is introduced with different players controlling and manipulating the ball in their own unique way which will open up so many unique scenarios during the match.
  2. Precise Pass: Konami also reveal the all new “precise pass” system which will play a key role in how the game is played. Precise pass is all about making a pass in the right situation and best timing will generate what konami describe as “perfect trajectory”
  3. Total Team Control: PES 2017 will let you setup several strategies before the kickoff or save permanently and use them during game with touch of a button without having to pause and do it all over again. Set up teams in tiki taka style, counter attacking or even park the bus.
  4. Custom corner/set piece strategies: Just like FIFA, PES 2017 will let users create their own custom style strategies for corners and set pieces.
  5. Artificial intelligence:   Although Konami always promise improved AI in the game, this year a “learning AI” is set to be introduced which will game much more unpredictable.
  6. Improved graphics: Like every other title, PES 2017 will come with improved crisp graphics thanks to improvised fox engin
  7. Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 (officially abbreviated as PES 2017, also known in some Asian countries as Winning Eleven 2017) is the 16th installment in the Pro Evolution Soccer series. On 25 May 2016, Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 was announced and scheduled to be released on 13 and 15 September 2016 on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The cover of the game features FC Barcelona players Neymar Jr, Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Ivan Rakitic and Gerard Pique. On 26 July 2016, Konami Digital Entertainment officially announced a premium partnership with FC Barcelona allowing “extensive” access to the Camp Nou stadium, which will be exclusive to the game for three years. In addition to this, Konami announced further official partnerships with Liverpool FC, Borussia Dortmund and Club Atlético River Plate which will include recreation of the official kits, player faces, club logos and stadia among other exclusive content. Features includes, among others, improved passing, Real Touch ball control, and improved goal tending technique. The recent demo confirms it will include fully licensed Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona teams.[5][6] At the annual gaming expo Gamescom, which was held in Cologne, it was announced that further licences with Liverpool, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke 04 & River Plate were agreed which would allow Konami to reproduce the teams within the game.
  8. Official partnerships

Partnership with FC Barcelona

On 26 July 2016, Konami Digital Entertainment Co. Ltd. announced an official partnership with FC Barcelona that would be effective across their titles for 3 years saying "The FCB signature style Tiki-Taka, the powerful “hymno”, the FCB classic (historical) kit data release, and Legend player appearances are some of the things Konami are planning to bring into the game to provide the best experience to the fans. Customers are entitled to sign an FCB player who can be used in the widely popular PES mode myClub by pre-ordering the digital download version of PES 2017 through the PlayStation®Store." Exclusive use of the Camp Nou is reserved to the Pro Evolution Soccer titles for the duration of the licence.

Partnership with Liverpool FC


On 16 August 2016, Konami Digital Entertainment Co. Ltd. announced an official partnership with Liverpool FC. Through the agreement PES 2017 will include content such as recreation of the official kit, player faces and Liverpool's home ground Anfield among other content. Konami announced the deal also stating that "This title's core concept "Control Reality", makes it possible to reproduce Liverpool FC's compact and speedy game flow. With the new function "Advanced Instruction", Liverpool FC's playing style of multiple players to retrieve the ball from a high position, "Gegenpress", adopted by manager Jurgen Klopp, will be reproduced within the game. The most notable difference to this licence however is that unlike the FC Barcelona deal, the Anfield stadium will not be exclusive to the Pro Evolution Soccer series

                   Partnership with Borussia Dortmund



On 17 August 2016, at the annual gaming expo Gamescom, it was announced that Konami Digital Entertainment Co. Ltd. had agreed a 3rd premium partnership, this time with Borussia Dortmund. An official announcement stated that "Through this agreement, PES 2017 -Pro Evolution Soccer- (scheduled for released on 13th September in North, Central and South America, and globally on 15th September 2016) will include the downloadable data of the team's home stadium "Signal Iduna Park". These new implementations will richen to fully experience "BV Borussia 09 Dortmund"."

                      Partnership with River Plate



On 26 August 2016, Konami Digital Entertainment Co. Ltd. announced an official partnership with Club Atlético River Plate. An announcement on the Konami website stated "Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. proudly announces that it has signed an official partnership with the renowned Argentine soccer club, Club Atlético River Plate, which will be seen across PES titles and related mobile games". A statement by the Argentinian club stated "“PES has been home to some of the most heralded football franchises in the world so we are excited to partner with KONAMI. We look forward to working closely with them to extend our team’s unique playing style and abilities to a wider audience.”
